Create a Classroom Website or Hub

A classroom hub, or a classroom website, is a place where you can invite students, parents, and outside communities to see the work that your students are doing as well as the resources they will need.  The easier it is to navigate your hub, the more likely your students will be to use it.  The more regularly you update it with videos and such, the more interesting it will be.

A classroom hub is a great place for your students to find assignments, learn information you wish to share with them, feel safe and welcome online, and publish their work.

There are many platforms for classroom websites.  Some of the popular ones are school based sites, Google Sites, Weebly, Blogger, Edublogs, and Wordpress.

For families who are spread far apart geographically, a classroom website or hub is a wonderful way to allow all parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, and good friends to stay in touch.  And it's a great way to organize yourself too.
